There is again a trend of getting missed calls specially from numbers beginning with +92 series. Such missed calls are generally being initiated by fraudsters. It is generally advised not to call back to miss call unless it is from your known contact.
Do not respond to any SMS from unknown sources prompting to call on a number. ;
Refrain from sharing any personal information & identity proofs like Voter ID Number, PAN Number, Bank Account Number, Credit Card information or make any payment to people promising lottery or other unexpected awards.
Do not disclose your handset IMEI or SIM card number to unknown callers. IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) is a unique code given by handset manufacturer for your number. This can be obtained by pressing *#06#.
In case of suspicious calls, report the same to the concerned security authorities / service provider more

Yes, missed calls from country code +92 keep coming and the service provider and police only say that it is a call from Pakistan. Other than that,they have nothing to offer by way of preventing such calls.. Of late, I'm getting missed calls from country doce +381 As Virmaniji suggested, don't respond and don't call back. They are not only fruadsters, they could be terrorists too. Also, don't respond to SMSs or emails which say you have won lottery in millions of US $ or Sterling Pounds or those emails which offer to place funds in your name for investment in your country. There are other emails that say that you have inherited in millions of dollars or pounds and that you need to contact an email and phone number for further action to receiver the money. Not only that, there are emails seemingly from RBI. Intenational Monetary Fund, U funds, FBI, couriers and others that your amounts are ready to be delivered and that you need to provide your details adn bank information etc. If you fall a prey, they would hack your bank account and empty it. DONOT RESPOND TO ANY SUCH COMMUNICATIONS. REPORTING TO SERVICE PROVIDERS OR POLICE DOES NOT PROTECT YOU. more
