AVAILABILITY OF GUTKA THOUGH BANNED BY S.C. :

Implementation of laws and Court rulings have taken a big dent in India. Though the ban was pronounced last year still the product was available according to the Press reports and the halfhearted raids conducted by the concerned departments.

When one reads the press reports from established News Papers such as "The Hindu" we get shocked about the revelations .

The system and the public has given boundless powers to 2 type of people . They are the Honourable Ministers and Bigwigs in the Police Department . These 2 types are public servants , one to take care of the welfare of his subjects and the other to give protection and also honestly discharge the duties and more so the S.C.Order.

WHEN ARE COMING OUT OF THIS BONDAGE ? NOT EVEN AFTER 70 YEARS ? more

Difficult to imagine that our corruption-curbing government is not aware of the situation! Probably waiting for the right moment to "strike"!! more
The best way is to stop manufacturing of Gutka. However, if done many will loose the opportunity of under table transfer of huge money. Therefore, ban officially only the consumption and enjoy appears to be the attitude. more
If any one is caught making, selling or eating products banned by a supreme Court order the person should be put in Jail and sent for rehab if possible more
One thing I am not able to understand is, why the ban is not imposed on manufacturer. If gutka is not manufactured, automatic selling will banned ..... If it is banned, how come govt departments are taking VAT/GST etc on Gutka more
persons caught in these lines irrespective of any status and without any enquiry be sent to jail with Rigorous punishments as was in vogue during British regime. more
gutkas are available everywhere including public places. ban is only on paper more
