Bribing of Income Tax officers
Does anyone know if large companies give monthly or annual packets/gifts to the ITO of their area/circle?
Is that an established practice to maintain good relations and dont create trouble approach?
Like to hear from all who know esp those who have been in corporates or are ca’s etc? more

I agree with Mr somani. But the prob is some of its share reaches to party fund,how can this be stopped as they will not make it digital .Just one example if any citizen has any criminal case or in jail can not apply for any govt job even if he or she is falsly implicated or any citizen can not cast his or her vote from two places but a criminal , even if he /she is in jail also can contest election that to from two places if required and can become minister and enjoying all facilities case goes on minister dies and case get closed. (HOW) who will change this . All loan waved off ,all freebies can be declared and list goes all these are our money any person can enjoy in it and declare like this ,this is just to indirectly bribing and purchasing votes and loot again. Those who will give he will not give from his house. Really jago Citizen Jago. more

If you are a business man, you should know better in the matter. Maintenance of good & cordial relations with every one coming to the contact of any individual or business entity is always desired, which does not mean that one should be bribed being the cost of such relations, until and unless you practice any wrong practices defying the laws of the land. more

If u want peace of mind and get your genuine work get done, BRIBE them before they start extorting money from you and your work will remain pending too. more

Yes we have corruption in most government departments of India, major ones being Police, Municipal Corp, Income Tax, Land registry etc. Best is to remove the human interface and make things online, so that the cases of bribe can be reduced substantially. The corruption started with lower pay of government staff, which has since been revised much higher, but greed has set in and no action is taken. Its good to have regular check on assets of the government staff and then report them or encourage public to report all assets known of government servants too JAGO BHARAT JAGO more
