Corruption in Licensing
I have met atleast 8-10 people and specifically asked food business owners about fssai license. Not one had said that they got it in a straight forward way. Either they paid bribe or they hired an agent (who most likely bribed) so in that sense the CAG report is right.
I'd like to hear from fssai what it is doing about corruption and fighting it. I am in the corruption circle by Transparency International and there has been good bit of discussion. I will post here. more

Sudeshji, There is a general perception in our society that nothing gets done without bribe. But to get correct picture one should link it with when the establishment was set up. When was corruption in what areas of operation etc What I mean it necessary to conduct a systematic study periodically. Casual queries and expressing opinion based of the cuff remarks will only reinforce the perception. more

True! there are few trusted units in our country which help corruption to make its roots more strong such as License, Audit, Verification. eg. food/liquor license, financial/ security/safety/ food/health audits, passport verification related to issuance or reissuance, traffic police at signal, are few... dont know if lok pal bill, demonetization, will really help? more

When our judiciary system can be manipulated with money and muscle power it is difficult to make our society corruption free. What is required is to make our judiciary corruption free. This will put straight the rest. more
