The personal data of over 500 million Facebook users has been posted online in a low-level hacking forum.
The data includes phone numbers, full names, location, email address, and biographical information.
Security researchers warn that the data could be used by hackers to impersonate people and commit fraud.
Can this be please escalated to the Govt so these large platforms can be taken to court in India.

Make facebook disabled. Instagram including whatsap and all other chatting platforms are very much vulnerable to hackers. Protection is better than cure. more

Did Facebook came to your home and invited you to join them? Or gave you a gift and entice you with rewards. If you think your privacy is stolen, just terminate your account and twiddle your thumbs. Did you read the three page T&C of Facebook before enrolling? If you think your name, address, age ,location is VERY private and confidential, DO NOT JOIN ANY SOCIAL MEDIA or book tickets on IRCTC, or any airline or their agents, including RTC Bus. Again you commit a blunder and want Government to take action? Did the GOI asked you to be a member in any such social platform? more

Why should anybody put accurate sensitive data on any social media? In my case, I usually put inaccurate data like a fake birth year, incomplete mobile number etc etc. I learnt that while working and living overseas. Breaches of data on social media are frequent. more
