Food Smart City - nice joke

This is Anushka from Banaras. Today I read about FSSAI launching Food Smart Cities and I couldn't stop laughing. Why does the Govt make fun of itself by launching such unreal things. Smart Cities as it is are total failures. On top of that food smart city.

if there is one thing you can do, just stop the rishwatkhori the food inspectors do in every city to let restaurants with bad or no hygiene run. That will save the junta harrassment and save some money too that goes to hospitals.

The six norms for Food Smart City are as follows:
• To encourage 100 per cent licensing and registration on the online portal
• To upgrade the food testing labs and food safety officers (FSOs)
• To facilitate the supply of fortified food staples
• To create food street or night market for traditional food
• To set up an institutional mechanism to raise awareness about different Safe and Nutritional Food (SNF) campaigns
• To establish a partnership with at least one organisation in domain of excess food management more

If the implementation is good, common man who are now having sub-standard foods from majority of our eateries will certainly be benefited. Let's hope for the good instead of suspecting for everything. more
But six norms are worth implementing if we become less corrupt. But it may go some way to improve food quality and hygiene. If we get few senior most good officers at top and they are backed by public, we can make difference. Did we support Me. Shesan and like officers, he was even defeated in election against a petty politician. We are to be blamed for our approach and 'Chalta hai " attitude in life. more
If we live for 25 years from today, things will not improve. They will be probably more worse than today. The British rulers left the India, leaving their legacy behind. This legacy of imperialism and suppression is practiced rampantly by majority of the people in power in the country to mute the voices of concern and agitation. more
We all are party to corrupt practices, encouraging Hawkers, accepting poor quality food. more
Ensure 0% corruption? Implement the existing rules? Eliminate nepotism? Ensure quality goods and services? What wonderful ideas and thoughts! Who is corrupt? Answer: Every man and woman in India are corrupt except those who do not get the opportunity. Some do it openly and some surreptitiously. There is a rule in every city, town, a municipality not to allow street side vendors, especially food. But who is supposed to implement it? The employees of the municipality, right? But then the street food vendor and the employees are voters? Will any councillor or MLC, MLA, MP force their voters to "implement rules"? Ensure quality of goods and services? We buy vegetables from the footpath, we will eat Pani Puri from the hawker. If everyone stops buying from these street vendors they will disappear. Remember when you point a finger at the Government three fingers are pointing at you and "thumbs up" to God Almighty. Get real Anushka from Banaras. more
