good that fssai is atleast committing to take action against brands who misuse the words ‘fresh’, ‘natural’, ‘traditional’ on their products or in ads. We should share a list with them based on our experience and observation and then hold fssai accountable to taking action.

Till late 60's many companies, world wide, have been labelling their products as "Organic" till standards were put in place for staking such a claim. The companies that could not meet these organic standards decided to tag their products as "Bio" or "Natural" The term "Natural" is now in the process of receiving a legal definition but the term "Bio" is still being used loosely. Smart moves of including words like "Pure", "Natural" "Nature's Fresh", as a part of brand name will have to be checked by the Trade Mark Registry Authorities. more

Taking the Mala Sehgal's posting further - ‘fresh’, ‘natural’, ‘traditional’ misleading - I suggest the participants bring forward the evidence based information so that Department of Consumer Affairs could take it up with FSSAI with conviction. Bring advertisement copies that the media carried, mention the tv advertisements with time, date and the channel showing the advertisement will be helpful. more

This is crux where people do have to make serious efforts for corrective action without compensation. There should be a Heavy Reward to be paid for Right information.
The Department should prepare A Guide for corrective approach and the required Information for study to check legal Action against the Company misleading the Customer
Penal Action apart they should have to pay the REWARD CHARGES immediately after the Decision.
