Good Budget announcement on Citizen Charter for Tax payers
This was a good move announced by FM. Can we please share our inputs via this circle as the subject has been extensively discussed. The feedback for what should be in charter of citizens should come from citizens. LocalCircles please escalate this ask to FM and other officials.

When we lose our freebies we start grumbling and male noises. Unnecessary investment on house property will come down as it was used just for obtaining tax exemption. The same amount will be available for spending or savings whichever way you want. more

It is said that economics is nothing but common sense complicated. Why two tax regimes? Why every Indian can not be encouraged for saving? With the old regime why the slabs had not been revised? What financial crunch this government has got to burden the tax payer more and more? Why fecilities given to senior citizens withdrawn ? This government is not at all bothered in relieving the burden on tax payers. Whatever the regime I adopt I will pay more tax in the present financial year which the tax payer never expected. This government is a failure in public front. more

FM has given no IT benefit rather have to pay more tax now and make things complecated . more

Finance Minister has transferred the burden of paying TAX exclusively on domestic Shareholder ,even the burden of foreign Investor is required to be paid by domestic Investor now .As if she is doing budget for foreigners. Earlier there is lot of halla for triple Tax on profit on Corporates ,Now that triple Tax(Tax on profit,DDT,Super rich dividend Tax) is transferred to Domestic Shareholder at higher Rates of personal Taxes.I have no problem in paying Taxes as slapped,but then FM should give direction to other Minister and officials enjoying freebies to have " Bring your own Car, Bring your own FOOD " to discharge duties and they should pay tax on all allowances including TA,DA,HRA at Market rates etc. and other freebies provided to them. Also they should tax immediately the rich Sports organisation ,vig,BCCI to task more

The charter should be to make tax filing very simple. In fact for Sr citizens should be trusted and not made to fill up so many complex forms. more
