Kudos to the delivery person
Our passports were delivered via speed post, yesterday. The delivery person (Mr Chandrashekhar) refused to accept the small gratitude that we gave him. He said that the govt is giving him salary for his work and that is good enough.
At a time when govt services come at a premium for citizens, people like Mr. Chandrashekhar are a shining example of how not to corrupt the system.
Citizens, along with such govt employees, can go a long way in reducing corruption. more

The situation in South India appears better than North India. One of my close relatives has a very different experience in Delhi. He applied for issue of a new passport abroad with the Indian Mission there. Police inquiry was done (mandatory for overseas cases) in Delhi as per his permanent address. The Officer demanded 'facilitation fee' and when given he said it is less in view of the 'overseas' case. ASTONISHING.... more

Mr. Padmanabhan G.....Please write all the concerned Officials and the Departments for issuing Mr. Chandrashekhar an Appreciation Letter and should be rewarded publicly for his good deed. We rarely find such people today. more
