mobile number shared by online government portals
The mobile numbers are collected by different portals (eg. NTA NEET, vehicle insurance, adhar validation) for registration, SMS alert, OTP and verification purposes. But these numbers are easily made available to agents, middle men and antisocial elements. Cyber crime officials need to take note of this and take stringent punishment measures against those who share the mobile numbers to outsiders. The agents send SMS and whats app messages daily and sometimes call the individuals and lure them and cheat them. more

It is absolutely true and needs the attention of cyber crime cell . There are numerous phone calls from unsolicited callers fo personal loans, credit cards and property sale inspite of DND registration more

The Govt. should ensure that no institution shares personal details of any individual with 3rd party. There are people in the market who need ready data for marketing or any other illegal activities. more

Too many unwanted calls and disturbing us time and again. Govt authorities must take action to protect citizens from this menace. Also, there must be an active number where citizens can book mobile numbers of such unwanted people....... to investigate the callers. more
