But India is a Poor Country, hence people are compelled to reuse oil several times. For economic reasons. more
Question is why we consume deep fried items. We can't control our self . Re use of used burnt oil is dangerous for health .Samosa seller, batata Vada seller also knows it. But if he throws it and uses new oil, shall we pay him high cost? Palm oil is being mixed in factories.Namkeens are prepared in palm oil.preparation is written in very small fonts, hardly readable.why we,others , And other certifying agencies are silent.Fssi? Adulteration of palm oil must be checked and stopped in oil manufacturing units by govt agencies. Sampling from market should be done Health is wealth it's true, but wealth greed is injuring our health. more
As far as no serious directives, usage of over burnt carbonized oil continue. Try ths simple test. Burn derp fried chips in lamp, ( specially on tiloil ). Once the fried piece start burning, thick blavk smooke emission can be witnessed. This thick dark black foam is nothing but toxin base for carcenogen. Avoid all deep fried products either branded and/ or from open market as it is very dengerous to health. more
Availability of government agencies and regulations are not 100% solution of the issue. We are aware about the health risks involved in consuming eatables being fried in such oil but even if it is done befor our eyes(many shop keepers fry such items in front of their shops and open to the customers but we seldom raise objections and avoid consuming the items. Unless we, the consumers are alert and refuse consumption of items prepared in unhealthy way, the trend is likely to continue. more
FSSAI is an agency like earlier days Licencing Dept They are authority with power to register ???? Source of malpractices possible as post registration,we see hardly any Health or Food Inspectors taking random samples and asking for actions or recalls /never heard any Food Agency getting convicted .Let us hope that there are already loopholes being exploited/ more
