Rice and Pulse adulteration

rice is mixed with marble chips, mixing sand, chalk etc. Another highly consumed product, pulses, where adulterants used are asbestos for polishing, metanil yellow for colour and soluble coal tar for shine. All these kinds of stuff are carcinogenic and compromise consumers’ health big time.

Does FSSAI have a way to audit the products (packaged) and those selling loose more

what can we do for it? we all can afford at list pots of 4-5 plants. rather then ornamental plants we can plant 3 vegs and 2 medicinal plants. adulteration is not only in food but also medicines r most adulterant or contaminated. more

Can you name a few of grains unadulterated but are still within the reach of our common men? In fact more than 95% of eatables available in our markets are adulterated and contaminated. more
