Science vs Politics

With BA.4 and BA.5 on the horizon and liver problems on the rise, we are soon to have an epic battle of science vs. politics in most countries around the world.

Most politicians have drawn their line: "COVID is over, be normal" and have gone all in. They will use all of their powers of rhetoric to maintain that narrative.

Those who will go with the flow face biggest risk.

Keep in mind that business and media are by and large on the side of the politicians more

I think Covid has moved from Govt's responsibility to personal responsibility - if the individual cannot maintain masking & inter-personal distances, without as much information dissemination as has already been done ..... the impatient patient deserves it !!! There is no compulsion for our elite children to be in school - in fact its more of parental convenience .... There is nothing taught below 8th, which can't be home schooled ... Covid remains an upper middle class disease & killer .... more
Shika It is a timely and Useful thread as we have enough data more
Absolutely agree with Shikha... The Schools by now should have started an optional online mode ... Atleast for little kids upto age 6 years... Instead these babies are coming home seriously ill with Covid and passing it on to the whole household including grandparents. 50% of my family and friends circle is getting Covid due to babies bringing it from school. Horribly callous behaviour of all those concerned in decion making. more
Yes, Let us outcast them and hand over the nation to a comedian cum dictator. more
