SEALING - an issue or political goal scoring with a biased Media?
CAIT - Confederation of All India Traders held a One Day Parliament of traders yesterday in Delhi to find some solution to the "Sealing" issue which on one hand the SC is very strict that the same be implemented by both Center and Delhi Government and at the same time even Judiciary cannot deny the fact that they had been sleeping all these years when colonies and societies were being developed. With increasing population, need for eating out, purchasing of groceries, clothes etc. and need for maintaining the health (Gym) started growing and people re-designed their property to incorporate a source of livelihood which also provided employment opportunity to the locals too. During the last month's sealing several restaurants were sealed leaving both owners and employees in the lurch.
However the Delhi Government of Kejriwal staunchly supported the traders while the BJP & Congress played politics for votebank. Times of India the so called leading daily which thrives on juicy news gave this piece of news a small 5th page column where it highlighted the meeting attended by Delhi BJP General Secretary: Manoj Tiwari & Congress Secretary: Ajay Maken, conveniently forgetting to make any mention of the Local Government of Arvind Kejriwal. It is a known fact that media is controlled but a leading news media which calls itself No.1 in Delhi to play politics blatantly with popular Government is something which leaves a very disgusting feeling about controlled Media which is biased. more

I AM SURPRISED THAT ALL POLITICAL PARTIES ARE SUPPORTING TO TRADERS, WITHOUT THINKING OF THE DIFFICULTIES OF COMMON CITIZEN. TRADERS ARE GOING ON STRIKE, WHICH SHOULD BE TERMED AS - EK TO CHORI UPER SE SINAJORI. THEY HAVE MISUSED THE PROPERTY FOR THEIR BENEFIT, AND NOW THREATENING WITH STRIKES. THEY MUST BE PUNISHED. FURTHER, SUPREME COURT SHOULD HAVE ALSO ORDERED TO PUNISH ALL OFFICERS, WHO ARE / WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS MISUSE. Why illegal activity is being supported, why no one is considering the difficulty of residents. But the officials who ignored the problem should also be punished. more

Please go back in the history of print media. My information and understanding is that Print Media came in practice for political goals of the people. It was a source of communication and publicity to bring the people together for common cause. That impact is now visibly seen in our India Print Media which is controlled by authority of Money Power and other sources. Nothing new. more

Agree with you compleyely. I have a few more issues on this. Firstly BJP has run the MCD for more than 15 years in Delhi. Where was BJP's MCD when the first illegal structure came up? Someone from MCD office himself admitted that almost 90% of the structures are illegal. It was they who took bribes to turn a blind eye. Why are they not being held accountable ? They should be named and shamed. Secondly do not punish the honest trader for the misdemeanors of others. Many of them paid conversion and parking charges to the tune of lakhs to MCD who promised to use this money for beautifying the markets, laying down good roads and providing parking lots. What has the MCD done with the money ? Lastly, why is the sealing drive being conducted only in Delhi ? Are there no illegal structures in other cities or is it that Delhi is being targeted and harrassed because they dared to vote for AAP and not BJP ? more

ALL PARTIES ARE CORRUPT THEY HAVE NOT ANY TRUE INTEREST TO GET RELIEF FROM THIS SITUATION BUT THEY ONLY PLAY POLITICS & JUST FOOL THE PUBLIC. more
