Status of eCommerce shelf life
I still am finding many food products with small shelf lives remaining on eCommerce sites.
FSSAI had promised that they will be taking action to address this problem and their CEO himself said it in I think Feb/March 17.
What happened. What products can be listed and what cant be listed. If a product that has 10% shelf life listed, can it be sold on ecommerce sites? more

why buy online just stop buying and go to your nearest kirana store, atleast you can fight and return the product, most of the online food store sell short shell life products. more

The problem is not with the FSSAI, CEO. What best they can do is issue a circular with possible penalty clauses. The problem lies with our judiciary system. People in general not rely on our judiciary system because they are afraid that the judiciary can be influenced with money and power and further the conviction takes years and one needs to pump in huge money. Either is a loss for the common man so why go for trouble. This, the corporates take advantage of. more

Better you avoid purchasing food products through eCommerce. Unable to understand why our people are so addicted to marketing through eCommerce despite complaints against them are multiplying every day! more

Products are permitted for sale up to the date of Best Before or Expiry. It may be instructive to read up the definitions on FSSAI website. more
