Street vendors

We would like to draw your attention to words the food sold by street vendors on the streets of entire country which is prepared and sold in unhygienic conditions and no action is taken to educate them whereas FSSAI asks states to make safe ‘Parshad’ where as it is much more important to make rules by FSSAI under which hygienic conditions of eating joints and street vendors are maintained and proper norms are made and should be issued licence by FSSAI and their hygienic conditions are checked at regular intervals.

Sir, we have interviewed food street vendors near the head quarters of FSSAI and they even do not know about the presence of FSSAI in the vicinity we further request you to take necessary actions for safe food in India sold by street vendors. more

Banerji sab, are you trying to justify and symphatise for street food vendors? In western countries also there are road side street food vendor stalls or vans, they strictly follow cleanliness n hyginic conditions as per the regulation of respective countries. more
Some protagonists are for street food and its clients and their economics. We are sympathetic to them for please see that do not bring class as star or street in to it. The very purpose of the writer is to highlight the unhygienic conditions whether in street or star hotels, but the harm it’s causing is to be evaluated and understood. Why not have checks on all food supply vendors poor or rich to save humanity from diseases . The measures to be followed are basic more
Street vendors are big menace for health ,traffic and security. They sell unhygienic food, disturbing trafic on footpaths without any identity. more
Why is Mr Kumar so worried about the street food vendors and the unhygienic food served by them? Does he ever eat from a street food vendor? Sir, please walk out of your air-conditioned ivory tower, look at the people who eat from the street food vendors. Please also spare a thought for the poor vendor and his family. It is a separate eco-system altogether, inhabited by folks earning Rs.500.00 per day, on the days they get work. Hygiene is very far from their minds, and they are grateful that the guy on the other side of the food cart gives them a plate of food which fills him up for maybe Rs. 25/-. , hygiene and cleanliness be damned! And Sir, please enter the kitchen of a , maybe 3 star hotel, if you are allowed inside, and see the cleanliness and hygiene there. You may stop eating at hotels after that. A society which does not guarantee a decent wage to its people, which does not provide any facility to self-employed people like a safe place, proper sanitation, electricity and clean potable water to earn a decent living, has no right to expect any thing from them. In any case, these poor guys are already facing police and municipal goons seeking hafta. Sir, why do you want to set the goons of FSSAI also on these hapless people? Please thing objectively. more
5 Star hotels are more contaminated than street Vendors---- They use dirty sweat to make chapattis, then we are unsure of water used so best thing is eat home -made food from your wife. more
We do not give much weightage to hygiene and search for cheap food. This is the pity due to poverty. more
