A TRAFFIC COP IF SEEN TAKING A BRIBE OR IF INDULGES IN TAKING BRIBES SHOULD BE QUIETLY REPORTED TO AUTHORITIES AND TODAY TECH IS QUITE IN PLACE FOR ANYONE TO DO SO!! SO MANY APPS WHERE PICTURES AND INCIDENTS COULD BE REPORTED AND BROUGHT TO LIGHT.......!

Traffic in most parts of Chennai became chaotic for the past 5 years or so. It is only getting worse. Traffic cops seem to be focussing on helmetless bikers and transport vehicles. They just dont care to warn the basic violaters especially two-wheeler drivers riding triple, running opposite direction, jumping red signals, blocking traffic at junctions and so on. Traffic police vehicles are parked in some places without any use or purpose that I can understand. Teenagers zooming at high speeds on bikes and scooters is rampant inside the residential areas. We feel helpless. Some of our senior citizen neighbors fear to walk on the streets due to the unruly vehicles (2-wheelers).

One of the worst arms of Chennai Police is Traffic Police. They are unable to control gross violations of rules ( one way , u turns etc.,) by two , three and four wheelers. ( includes PTC buses ) The only thing they seem to be doing is catching people on two whellers riding without helmets or commercial vehicles ( goods and Taxi) and collecting fines. where they need to focus and be strict is completely ignored.

wrong side was earlier by cycles, then motorcycles & scooters, now the share autos and many times even four wheelers are going on wrong side, no effect of traffic signals as all are flouting with impunity even when police is standing at the traffic signal.
what does it say - jungle law prevalent tin Chennai, elderly and children and women are badly affected, even to cross road they are scared
will the Commissioner start at the least regulating traffic ??? problems , if they cannot control these small issues on what basis can we think they will be able to handle larger anti social elements, murders and other larger crimes ?

Very small actions can be improved , Main Exit of City TOWARD South has very badly control i.e GST Road every where its choked near Paralathur, Vandalur, Guduvantury etc.
