All airline ticket sales should be under ecommerce policies

All the airlines selling of tickets and seats from their websites need to be brought under the ecommerce policy by consumer and commerce ministry.

That way many of this "do it as you feel like" predatory pricing tactics will stop.

I would prefer that an airline charge me once for whatever ticket price rather than 1 transaction now, 1 more when I have to do web check in and select my seats. Both times the airline charges me transaction fee and all kinds of charges.

We are moving away from digital india with such things.

Commerce and Aviation Minister is same. he should fix this. more

Mr. Mishra, I like to bring to your notice the resource post, " Paid Airlines Seat Assignments " of 27th by S.N.Mittal . He has referred to the Local circles Questionnaire . Crae full study the Question which misleaple . more
It is only due to competition, the airlines are going for low fares to attract the customers and with the decrease in the number of seats, they go on increasing the fares, just like flexi fare in trains, even if there is vacant seats. There should be uniform fare and the passenger to purchase the ticket, if the tickets are available. No extra charges in the shape of "Convenience charge or for selection of seats". Now the procedure is just like cheating in the name of low cost airlines. more
It is highly unfortunate that Indigo has come out with a fee structure for web check in which otherwise should have resulted into a discount if the passengers check in through web as digital transactions always reduces the operational cost which ethically need to be passed onto the consumers. In case the Civil Aviation Ministry does not intervene in the matter for withdrawing of all web check in fee, the consumers need to think of alternatives as there is no point even if they charge a single penny. Lets put a pressure on their infrastructure resources and check in manually at their counters. Once you reach the counter area, they cannot fly the airline leaving you at the airport and let them also have taste of it. We consumers need to be united as with the present Govt. we cant expect anything better for the consumers as the present Govt is pro-capitalist. What you feel and say. more
Dear friend Surendra Kapoor what about our own Railway they never give earlier at lower rates but increases without bound, and what about cancellation charges, it's hell for last four years, Railway is looting by all means .In my opinion aviation is better in this regard more
