Not only SBI Life all companies are following same systems.
Max Life, kotak life never sends any statements as hard copy. In India very few people have computer with a printer in their homes. To go to cyber cafe and take out a print is not economical.
How many people in India know to use computer? Leave aside metro cities.
These companies just loot people.
Their manifesto are writing or printed in such small letters that no one can read. Their agents just come to house and show moon in palm and tells to sign few papers and then never turn up in life time.

My experience with LIC was good. When policy expired, I got the money immediately more
insurance is for risk cover not for high returns so don't follow the oral statement of agent just ask for the hard copy whatever be the returns they said. As per new insurance act-2015 the insurance company has to pay a penalty of 25 crore for wrong selling !!! more
i took a policy with canara Hsbc for 1lakh per annum.i stopped me paying for furthur years as suggested by ins agents. After 3 years when i wanted to encash 3yrs the value was 15K only.again the agent told me to pay 2lakhs and wait for 5yrs and as per the govt orders they can pay only after 5 yrs. The erosion they claimed is the admin charges . my woes of ins did not end there with a glee that i will get all the money i paid 2lakhs and waited for 5yrs After 5yrs when i went backit was only 1.3lakhs i withdrew more
Private Insurance companies are selling new policies to gullible common man with false promises. Even large companies like ICICI Prudential, Bajaj Allianz, etc are conspicuously charging mortality charges even when fund value is higher than Sum Assured. After protracted efforts, I could get these unethical charges (by cancellation of units) reversed from Bajaj Allianz. I have also reported the matter officially to IRDA with proof, etc. However, ICICI Prudential does not even consider replying to my queries on this though their system acknowledges receipt of my complaint. This is a serious issue and IRDA must act with strong hands and such fooled customers should get back 300% of cancelled units (like 300% penalty in case of hiding income). more
Can these insurance and other business enterprises have such attitudes if work in Singapore or HK or in UK, These companies taking people for granted, because the laws and enforcement are not strict and no harsh penalties such as their revoking of licenses more
