Please tell me the difference between white bread and brown bread as available in India. As far as I know brown bread available in Delhi is just added colour. I feel if you increase dietary fiber in your food it will be a healthy practice. A good way to increase the fiber content is to consume 'Isabgol". A spoonful of dry isabgol before lunch or dinner is very beneficial. more

i would like to disagree with the general sentiment of using isapghula. lets face it, its of medicinal purpose (i know lot of people would say it can be taken daily, but its a medicine) and whats more why use something artificial when you can use natural food. if you are looking for high fibre diet, you can easily use other substances that are natural- not bread or biscuits- corn, oranges, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, green leafy vegetables and celery, beans, oranges and other fruits. lets stay natural as far as possible Dr Saumya Mittal Physician and Diabetician 9873711878 more
