1 year old Maruti Swift dzire got fire by itself
I have a 4 wheeler insurance. My car caught fire by itself on 2nd Nov 2015. I doubt its a problem with vehicle manufacturer(Maruti). Manufacturer has already denied of any defect.
Now I have received the investigation confirmation from insurance(ICICI Lombard) stating their investigation is done and they settle the amount. I have asked them to give me a copy of their investigation report and the report submitted by fire inspecting surveryor.
They (Insurance company) is saying they cannot share that with consumer.
I am already going through lot of mental stress due to this issue and already at rupees - 2.3lakh loss. It was 1 year old car.
Both Maruti and Insurance know its a manufacturing defect, still Maruti denied it and Insurance does not want share the report. more

Mr. Kumar Sahib... if you don't have a constructive advise than please DO NOT respond... there is a reason I have this discussion open... I am seeking advise not complaining. It's very easy for you to call me an idiot as you did not loose 3 lakh rupee and went through mental stress. I cannot go to court until I have a proof against manufacturer, and the only proof is the investigation report that insurance has. Also I would like to tell you that I already have one consumer case running against a different company ( it a different matter altogether not related to this issue) in spite I had all the proofs the case is in progress and its running 6 yeasr now. You can imagine what will be response from court will be if I register a case without proofs... I am now writing to pehredar from CNBC Awaaz. more

Mr. Sanjay thank you for your comments.... i have already done that and forwarded the copy of letter for RTI to surveyor ... but he is still not willing to share the report. I sent an email to surveyor but it seems he is not willing to share the report. Below is the response I got from him. "Sir I have not assessed the loss I have conducted investigation hence I request you to speak to your underwriter regarding the same " more
