50 million facebook accounts compromised

In the biggest-ever security breach Facebook just admitted hackers broke into nearly 50 million users' accounts by stealing their "access tokens" or digital keys.

This allowed them to steal Facebook access tokens which they could then use to take over people's accounts.

Access tokens are the equivalent of digital keys that keep people logged in to Facebook so they do not need to re-enter their password every time they use the app.

So facebook and whatsapp also have such poor security. I guess just a matter of time before people’s private innformation like private pictures, credit card info, childrens details becoming public. more

I was active with daily posts for ten years with a following of 5000 before I shut off Facebook some six months ago. The nature of their suspensions. deletions and posts blocking and the comments they frowned upon, notably the frequent suspensions of Shonan Talpade, Sumedha Sarvadaman and myself leaves no doubt as to their political proclivities and predelictions. This is, of course, a sub theme of their wider opposition toconservatism which has been widely reported by Conservative sources. more
