Aadhaar Camps and Banks sharing info
As mentioned in a post few days ago on Aadhaar and Banks, I have somewhat similar experience to share.
People were complaining about vendors charging for Aadhaar Card. Banks have found a solution to this.
They are now putting aadhaar camps and paying the vendor a set amount (1500-2000 per day), appointing couple people and they are going to areas where upper middle class and rich people live.
The camp makes aadhaar cards or prints them and the information is also shared by the banks.
So effectively, the vendor and the bank officers both have your mobile and aadhaar number and residential address now which means your info is susceptible to even more rsik plus the marketing calls that will come.
Consumer Ministry or Aadhar authority should look into this please. more

Please check UIDAI website link describing the work of Registrars and their associated Enrollment agents https://uidai.gov.in/enrolment-update/ecosystem-partners/enrolment-agencies.html The idea of such agencies is to make widely available facilities for Aadhar card enrollment and subsequent data updating. In Reality, Aadhar "agencies" are a total waste. They are manned by clerks (or less) and have no useful function to serve. Just let the banks issue Aadhar, they are already privy to all information about us. Why just have "agencies", which just provide income to mama/ chachas of people in power. more

To the best of my knowledge, Aadhar data you feed can only be saved by only those people authorised to save. Certainly, they will be provided with a keyword for doing that. If UIDAI can authorise Karvy & UTI, they can certainly authorise banks too. Regarding data security, it is not security of address & telephone number, which were and are mostly in public domain. It is the security of biometrics and more confidential data, which is the subject matter of intellectual discussion now. more
