Action Request - Escalate and get Mosquito Menace addressed

Thanks to all participants who responded to the Mosquito Menace survey. Below is the survey report

The Mosquito Menace Survey

While LocalCircles will escalate the above to Central Government and all State Governments, we urge each one of you to share the link with your State Government and Municipal Commissioner/Ward Councilor or any other local official you are in contact with.

We as common citizens lose sleep, are less productive and incur healthcare costs because of poor civic governance. Let's act so atleast the next generations do not have deal with this menace like many developed countries in the world. more

i have been experiencing similar cases within my community and sometimes its been months to see such initiative from responsible ones...https://rajasthan-university.in/ more
In addition for an infrastructure to be put in place to better manage the mosquitoes, prevention infrastructure also must be formulated and implemented. It is a common knowledge that they breed and spread in stagnant water. The city planners, and not necessarily Sri. Modi and the central government, must come up with ideas/plan, fund, and implement suitable actions. People also can easily identify such home for mosquito-breeding places and take steps to prevent/eliminate water from stagnating. It is a combination of local governments and local community effort. more
Yes, it is fact that the health department working under local body are not fogging at regular intervals. more
I feel the best way is to Privatise Municipal Corporations. This will ensure zero corruption and improved performance. I am sure organisations like L&T, GVK, GMR, Adani, Reliance would be interested. Why not write to them suggesting as a business idea. Just like airports and toll roads being privatised this too will work out well. more
Coovum canal in Chennai is the main source of mosquitoes breeding which needs to be cleaned up more
