Air India flying membership_ Redemption of points

I am 67 years old and member of Air India flying membership. I have 12000 points. When recently I wanted to redeem the points, the web page said you have not KYC verified. When contacted the customer care to know the procedure for KYC, I was informed that my KYC is verified but since I have not used Air India flight for 3 years, my account is freezes. To activate my account, I have to travel minumum 3 times by Air India. I feel this is not correct. My all points are going to lapse in March 2020.

The terms and conditions of Air India flying membership is not very clear. more
Complain to consumer court for Air India failing to caution the customer about likelihood of points lapsing. Regarding their alleged system not showing Silver Card & not providing wheel chair only course is Consumer Court. more
Yes, such term & condition is applicable in all bonus points for any purchase. Once you stopped travelling for a long period, it appears you are either not satisfied or you are no more interested to fly, hence such account stands dormant temporarily. You could see it while aquiring such points. I experienced such incidence in Bata India Ltd. more
i have some 72000 points and i am a silver card holder. last month when i was checking in at heathrow airport, they say that their system is not showing me as a valid silver card holder so they can not allow me extra baggage. on the top of it, though i am a wheel chair passenger, they made me run from one counter to another without giving me any wheel chair support. i have lodged a complaint on their frequent flyer site. forget about taking any action, they do not have a courtesy to acknowledge it. i being a foolish indian patriot keep on flying with Air India. more
Agree with you. more
