Airlines cancellation
I am now Covid positive and has to cancel my flights to maldives as I am not authorised to travel and spread covid and can not land in Male I want to cancel but MMTrip and airlines both wants their pound of flesh. There is huge cancellation fee involved and practically no refund

Since many years, having had frustrating experiences with travel agents such as MakeMyTrip, we have started booking our tickets with the airlines directly. We can always ask them about the cancellation charges and their replies are not evasive. In Germany, since over forty years you can buy "cancellation/postponement insurance on your travel tickets". They should introduce this system in India too. more

MMT is notorious on refunding issues. There are regular complaints against them and like Anil Ambani's, no action is taken against them by the Govt. MMT has not yet refunded more than a lakh to my niece due to cancellation of international airticket by the airlines and not the passenger for the last 2 years. Local Circles should take up the issue with appropriate authorities. more

My suggestion would be to file a case in District Consumer Forum. If your tour company is a foreign one then you can forget about it. more

as regards consumer forum . I filed a case in 2008 against a builder and still i am getting only dates. Consumer courts are the den of corruption where every judge presumably corrupt more

This applies only to Govt companies . my ticket is on air india and go air, both are private more

You may please register a Grievance in the Grievance Cell of GOI under Department of Aviation. Definitely you will get some support. more
