Airtel blocked from Aadhaar platform

Friends yesterday UIDAI blocked Airtel from its platform. The Airtel fellows were misusing Aadhaar information and supposedly opening Airtel payment bank accounts without consent of people.

This is a good move. Airtel does a lot of these things. Just try availing any of their special plans for data recharge. They will open all sort of accounts for you make u download all kinds of app and then only credit portion of the promised amount.

On one hand loot, on other philanthropy more

All the service providers are doing such things to earn additional revenue. The government should come down with heavy hands on all these service providers and teach them to behave and to strictly comply with the government directives or close down their shops. more
Why did not the government realise this before they started their act? I am getting hundreds of calls from different people who have taken my number from the telephone company where I linked my aadhar. Maybe the Supreme Court should see this notice. more
Why TRAI is not taking any action against the service providers, who are deducting money through various schemes, which has not been opted by the consumer ??? more
What is the use of blocking after Airtel has already stolen the data. Why are private agencies, in fact anyone allowed to take this data instead of just being provided a yes no authentication service by UIDAI ? If a KYC Data sharing from on source was required a separate central KYC service should be used. Not too late even now to correct course and stop overenthusiastic usage of AÀDHAAR more
Why Airtel has not been asked to shut-off the business and their license should have been withdrawn with immediate effect. Their consumers should have been shifted to other service providers through the process of portability and all other service providers should have been asked to accept the consumers according to the existing plan of Airtel or other prevailing plans with them as per the choice of consumers. The action if taken once on a company other companies will think ten times before wrong doing, any unlawful act or otherwise. more
