Guys all of you who are taking vehicles for service there is 99% chance that you will be subject to gst profiteering.

Profitability in auto services? You go for servicing the workshop boys tells you a amount but fails to give you details of works are going to be done . My experience is workshop a team of looters . There are no yardsticks of making long huge list of charges. more

Mr. Mehta, As per my knowledge from very beginning GST on service is 18%. However earlier to GST the service tax was 12.36% and then somewhere 15%+. It was never 28%, If you had been charged for 28 then it's a big offence. I just wanted to clarify that 'Govt hasn't reduced it, while had increased from 15 to 18" more

It is the mistake of GST enforcement cell. They never raid on the seller to ensure that the GST rates are applied at reduced rate. more

Business is for PROFIT MAKING . BUT NOT FOR PROFITEERING [ means MAKE OR SEEK TO MAKE AN EXCESSIVE OR UNFAIR PROFIT, ESPECIALLY ILLEGALLY].IF ANYONE IS FOUND PROFITEERING THEY WILL GO UNDER SCANNER. Kindly remember the cost charged preferably the bill to be produced before the Rule 171 cut of date and the present cost charged . THIS HAD HAPPENED IN OTHER PRODUCTS ALSO LIKE CLOTHES . BUT THE TRADERS HAD DONE IT TO THE NEWLY PRODUCED ONES WITH AN INCREASED BASIC PRICE .IF THEY HAD INCREASED THE BASIC PRICE NOTHING CAN BE DONE UNDER THIS 171 LAW . So as the traders have devised new strategy we also have to present the matter in a different platter to draw the attention . If you argue quoting this law nothing will come out .
