Now a days, banks are charging for each and every services they are providing to the customers. Recently I read an announcement that if a debit card is rejected for payment due to insufficient balance, the customer will be charged some penalty. In my opinion, if a debit card is failed at any ATM or payment counter due to any technical fault from the bank, the customer should be compensated by similarly. Recently, I wanted to pay Car Service charges to a Car dealer, where I swapped the card, the amount got debited but because of no confirmation from the bank, the dealer denied the payment. After that I went 5 ATMs one by one, but at all the ATMs the amount got debited to my account but the cash is not disbursed. Because of these activities, I lost more than 1.5 hours and came back without collecting the Car due to non-payment. In total my account got debited Rs.24659/- and later at night one by one the amounts debited got credited back. This is in general I think is the fault of that particular bank's website/netbanking. When Bank is charging for everything, such difficulties to the customers due to bank's fault should also be compensated suitably by the bank. more
I fully agree. It is unfair in part of the bank to charge for everything from the ordinary account holder, who keep its hard earned money in the bank. whereas it allows the millionaire to go foreign settle there and enjoy without paying the loan that to in thousand crores. Very unfair. It is tax over tax. simply looting. We all should raise voice against this injustice and unfair practice. Should be written to finance minister for scrapping the rule looting. more
I totally detest any charges debited to the customers. They are making good profits out of our own money and it's part of the service of the banks to be offered to their clients. more
If Banks charge for every service rendered and we are taxed as well for that service. It is only fair that Banks compensate for services not rendered eg: ATMs not working. Credit cards being withdrawn without any message or notification. more
In addition to above compensation list. 1. If check cleared after 24 hrs. 2. Website down for more then 4 hours. 3. If money is credited/debited to wrong account. more
Banks need to compensate customers in case 1. Transaction took place but no SMS sent. 2. There is balance in account but no cash in ATM 3. Card transaction failed due to faulty server. 4 . If the time taken more than the time it required at counters. 5. Link failure etc 6. Pass book printing machine does not work. 7. If cash deposited in CDM is not credited in beneficiary account There are some more to list. BANK IS NOT ABOVE CUSTOMER more
