Be very careful of big basket

Especially its all Big Basket daily which offers subscription to milk and groceries.

Know that once u subscribe to something if the prices of the product drops, the bb daily keeps debiting your account at the high price while the product on fresh subscription or one time buy is available at lower price.

Localcircles should get Govt to make rules for subscription services more

When you verify the prices Big Basket charged for your ordered items in the event of prices gone down after placing the order, you should also verify as to what they do in the event of the prices gone up after placing your orders. Under such a situation if they charge the prices prevailing at the time of placing the orders, they're following correct practices. more
Ashima Gupta, If one subscribes milk packet @₹100 for next six months, BB or any other vendor supplies @₹100/- , because, the buyer contracted to buy at a rate, then prevailing , accepted by the buyer . During the contractual period incase of any upward or downward revision, the vendor would continue to his agreed contract and supply at the contracted rate. However, if the supply contract Carrie's price variation clause, the buyer can seek justification from the supplier. This issue being daily consumable product, fuel supply terms cannot be considered more
It amounts to Unfair Trade practice and profiteering. Local Circles to conduct a survey and escalate results to Shri Ratan Tata as Big Basket is now a Tata company. Tata companies normally do not engage in unfair trade practice. more
useful information more
The fuel dispensing stations order thousands of litres of Diesel and Petrol and they do not sell all quantity by midnight. Then the Oil companies raise the price at midnight to another level and when you reach the filling station will the dealer give you petrol/diesel at the previous day's rate? There were 60,799 filling stations as on Nov: 2017.An average capacity of 60,000 litre capacity on each of these pumps. Consider one third of the residual capacity was sold till midnight and rest will be sold at the enhanced/revised price. If the price rise is Rs.1.00 per litre each dealer will make Rs.40,000.00 overnight. Means they made a sum total of Rs.2,431,960,000.00 overnight doing nothing as value addition. And here, the BB consumer is crying/inviting Sarkar's immediate attention of price rice of vegetables, milk and curd. There is a system called "weighted average" price. The system to be implemented to e-commerce portal who stock over 20,000 items is a huge task. But it is easy at a filling station. Will any one do it voluntarily? The author may be biased as BB is now owned by Tata Sons and not a cut throat business community. Shame on all of us. more
Understand the complaint uncle before giving words of wisdom. She is saying if she subscribes to packet of milk at price 100 per liter for 6 months her account is debited daily. Now if price of milk is reduced for xyz reason to 80 per packet BB will keep charging her 100 per liter. more
