Not an encouraging budget more
It seems from this list that the items used by the common people will become expensive and the items used by the rich and industries will become cheaper. How is this helpful to common man ? more
One thing is disturbing that battery driven vehicle is a distant dream as most of the Lithium is with China...even the solar cells are with them....following/complying green initiative or Paris agreement will be delayed more
Unfortunate that almost all the things which would become expensive as per your list are those imperative today for use by the common man &/middle class where as those cheap ones are mostly needed by the rich ones! more
Good, but the exercise of budget can happen any time during the year, for example whenever there is a perceived reform visible, as happened with sudden introduction of farm bills mostly a unilateral decision. For the environment, good that car scrappage policy made that, increases the vehicles running life by 5 years, as after all 15 years being too short, especially when the vehicle running on petrol, a cleaner fossil fuel, runs clen. Also increasing railways network, an ecologically sound transportation and logistical means, very good. Incentivising environmentally friendly practices would always reap benefits. more
It is remarkable that you call the most important Farm Bills a 'unilateral decision'. The need to liberate farmers (I am a farm owner myself) from the crooked monopoly of the monopolistic middlemen, is a long-standing demand. It was discussed and recommended in these Local Circles months earlier. The bills were passed by elected MPs by a vast majority.

This 'unilateral decision' propaganda is from the same opposition parties who wanted these reforms when they wer ein power, but had no courage to displease the powerful middlemen.

But the sponsors of the Khalistanis (Pakistan and China) cracked the whip and started the unwarranted agitation, where their demands keep changing day to day so that the chaos at the borders of Delhi can continue. And the unscrupulous opposition parties are only interested in creating chaos, in the futile hope that Modi's votes will be affected.

Now the spotlight has been shifted by the controllers of the blockade, from Sikhs to the Hindu Tikait, so that the hands of Pakistan and China can be hidden, and Modi's enemies will cry hoarse that he miscalculated. more
