CABLE TV & TRAI

I am running Cable TV in our colony for the last 25 years. We have about 400 connection. Today all channels (Normal & HD) were covered for a fee of Rs. 3800.00 per year & without HD for Rs. 3200 per year. This includes maintenance charge.
If TRAI succeeds in their plan implementation then, as on date we will be forced to pay Rs. 850 per month.
I request all not get carried away by TRAI misleading advertisement about advantage (!!) of the new system.
Please, someone should make a signature campaign against TRAI interference. Also please inform, the true picture to all to stop TRAI & allow the old system to continue. more

TRAI move is anti consumer. My bill has gone up from 350 to 500 even after driving half the channels. more  
Most of the Service Providers had looted to their customers by way of substandard services and / or not providing the services as agreed upon. Irrespectively every serviceprovider and the circle affiliated got HUGH profits and based on which they do more blunders. Thanls to the TRAI to initiate some measures to the effect. Initially it may be cumbersome but in long run it certainly have some regulations and guidelines. It is more advisable to copeup with changed situation as early as you can and avoid further malfunctioning. It is appealed to TRAI to implement present rules and regulation sternly so to avoid further LOOT. more  
I agree with above. However TRAI has not taken our comments seriously even though nearly two months have passed. Normally the Govt. takes cognisance of reader's views in the Local Circles. But in this case TRAI has not cared to redress our grievance of high tariff for access fee also even though we do not watch all free to air channels. Since yesterday Hathway cablewallah has stopped all pay channels even though TRAI has extended the time to 31st March for giving the requirement of channels to be viewed by the consumer. After shutting down these channels he will be charging the regular charges for the entire month even though he does not show all the channels enjoyed by us so far. more  
I agree, this move by TRAI is anti consumer and appears to be done for the benefit of the different broadcasters. more
