Change in life time validity tariff plans by telecom operators
There were several post in this community circle about changes in the tariff plans by the telecom operators. As it looked to be an unethical business practices. As a consumer activist, I had written an article on the same and mailed the article to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. I would request all the members to kindly go through the article and may submit their comments therein so that the public views also reaches the Authority meant to be taking care of the telecom sector and regulate industry to protect the interest of consumers under TRAI Act. Please bring out any discrepancy/ error in the facts stated in the article so that the same is corrected accordingly. The article is titled "Unethical business practices by telecom service providers in life time validity plans subscribed by prepaid category of mobile subscribers". I am not aware if such problems are faced by post paid subscribers also. more
Subsequent to the post on the subject, I had initiated a dialogue with TRAI under RTI Act 2005. The practices of the telecom companies by changing the tariff plans under life time validity plans is unethical and we can take legal action against the telecom companies. My suggestion that a class action could be the better strategy. What other members would like to suggest. In case of a class action suite, the issue need to be consolidated through a sizeable number of complaints. more
Have been fighting with @IDEA how they can Block outgoing (and threaten to Block incoming too, soon) to force Recharge of minimum Rs 24/- per 28 days ?? We are taken for a ride All plans must be sent to all so we get to choose. BLOODY changing rates & plans is v unfair.Data packs should start from 1 gb Perday or 1.2. Or 1.4 gb per day with minimak charges & not as per these rascals insisting of 2 gb with higher cost.Also month has to be of 31days. Not 28 days.Bloidy parasites .Govt is moron. more
In regard to Post Paid mobile connection Vodafone has tried to change my Bill Plan by itself saying that existing plan is no more valid as withdrawn by Vodafone. I did not accept the version and compelled to restore the plan as existed. It was not done easily. Subsequently because of poor network I had to shift to other service provider and converted the mobile connection to prepaid just to keep it alive. The fact is that all teelecom companies believe in enhancing its revenue irrespective of service quality extended by them. Network scenario has been worsening day by day. With the addition of Data the situation has further worsened for call connections. G4 is hardly seen and most of the time we are satifying ourselves somehow. more
