Collusion by Big Players of a sector to skim consumers
Carteling is common in India and what happens is manufacturers of a particular commodity come together wine and dine and decide that they will never sell below a base price i.e. say at 50% profit. Does this become a case of Anti Profiteering Authority or Competition Commission and if its Competition Commission, kindly invite them to this circle or start new circle.
I feel many times we see such issues but no one does anything about it because its not a direct solution. more

Similarly consumers also should have a forum to do something for the benefit of consumers. A word can be spread in favour or against a product among the members. That forum must be without politicians and if members join politics they ceased to be member. more

A forum should be formed which can then file cases in Consumers Courts against cartels who are indulging in profiteering. If I am not mistaken Parliament has passed an anti-profiteering bill which is now law. An initiative by like minded people in this site can be started. I volunteer to participate actively. more

Election Commission should ban political parties to collect huge sum from big business houses.On the contrary they can fix election fund in Govt kitty. more
