One of the major factors affecting the cost of essential commodities is Carina.Due to lock down most of the manufacturing industries got affected due to poor labour turnout & other reasons like poor raw materisl supply etc.So the suppliers got limited & demand in market has gone high & resulting in cost escalation. Hope, the situation will improve once the productivity increases. more
There is a definite increase in retail prices of food items and other essential daily needs. The worst hit are thensenior citizens who don't have pension and living on meagre savings. The interest rates on FDs, SCSS, PPF, etc have been reduced leading to reduction on interest income. Local Circles should take up the matter with the Government to help senior citizens. more
From the above Chart we see the inflation of 36% on Food items. This is too much for common people to survive. Covid impact has made the life difficult. In addition fuel price is also skyrocketing. more
The Central & State Governments should i struct farmers to curtail wheat and rice production by 30% and switch over to oils seeds/pulses production. By doing so,Govt. will kill two birds with one stone i.e. excess procurement of wheat and rice will be avoided thereby saving crores of rupee of tax payers money every year, the rates of oils and pulses will remain under control and foreign exchange will be saved. To do so, all political parties must shun dirty vote bank politics in the national interest. more
Its partially true that the price rises are the result of price rise in petroleum products. Price rises are inevitable in the prevailing circumstances and we should be happily prepared to bear it until normalisation of the situation, which is certainly not going to prevail for ever. Rise in the prices of edible oil is mainly because of our being dependent on foreign countries for about 60% of our requirements and stiff rise in its price in international price. more
