Compensation for Airtel Post paid number out of order

My Airtel Post paid number was out of order /network, for 10 days, with no I/C, O/g calls, no sms, no network, no data. I suffered immensely, as I had registered this number with banks, Credit cards, other service providers & no alerts were being delivered. Finally after relentless follow up by my entire family, it was restored last week. it was a frustrating time, i lost considerable in terms of value, goodwill, peace of mind.

Please advise as to whom / how I should approach, to place a claim for a compensation. more

You mail to their CMD demanding compensation . You will get more
dear sri Nagraj: Airtel is a " fraud " Company and have been taking the customers for granted and for a ride, all these days. It has had " a good kick in the back side " when JIO came with their offers. Airtel is crying foul with all those Govt. officials who are willing to listen but, unfortunately in NAMO's Govt. " Nobody is willing to listen to their sob story ". Hopefully, when JIO's GIGA FIBRE is also launched fully across India and specially in the Urban Metros - AIRTEL will lose its other Cash Cow also ( Broad Band and DTH ) which should usher AIRTEL to sing its closure Anthem and bring them to Earth..!!.. IT IS NOT FAR OFF....PLEASE WAIT......!!!!..... more
Important would also be to inform the Department of Consumer Affairs on this on Local Circles ...... more
First lodge a complaint with Airtel, give them 7 days time to respond, then complaint with Consumer Forum. more
First of all, try get a response from Airtel only. In this process (and also in parallel), you may tweet (over Twitter) to airtel customer care, airtel (your circle) and airtel India about your problems. If they do not act in a responsible manner, open a case with Consumer Forum (consumer dispute settlement... Authority) for compensation. The Forum and the relevant court of law favours consumers in first place. Important Note: If the connection plan (tarriff) is the one allowed to be used only for personal use and for no business use, you may never claim for the business losses you have incurred. So, in such a case, you must put forward only your personal problems and agony caused by the non-connectivity. more
