Compliance to legal metrology by ecommerce needs work

Every week I come across lack of compliance by ecommerce apps despite so much conversation in last 3 years. Consumers keep reporting but Govt doesnt act properly. Why so?

See this screenshot from Meesho apps. No MRP, No best before date No country of origin for a product like Patanjali honey.

Why should such sellers not be blacklisted. more

I think there is a tel or contact no. of Patanjali on the label. One should call or send an email mentioning the non compliance or write to FSSAI or give it to a news paper. I know it is not easy and is time consuming. But this is the easy and cost effective way as against recourse to legal remedy. more
You have no post boxes other than at post offices, why selling posting stationery. more
Yes indeed. Rules are made to be broken and that is how our courts and lawyers get their bread + butter and cheese while customers are left high + dry. A common man would never involve himself in legal recourse as it is waste of time and justice could come only for next generation provided there is some Judge who is presiding on the case and has a conscientious nature...Otherwise leave it to nature. The Bierdo Wierdo of Patanjali has many influential friends in high places and they complement each other. more
1) Not printing of such legal information on the product should be treated as cheating (420) + other violation 2) Also not displaying or hiding such information on advertised material by advertiser or seller such as amazon, flipkart, meesho should also be punished under strong provisions of law more
in every site you will find such issues.Govt makes rules but implementation is weak and unless the punishment is harsh where it hurts them then only they will heed to the warnings more
