Connect Broadband

I took a new connection of connect broadband for my house. But it never worked. I called customer center numerous times to sort out the problem but nothing happened. So in the anger, I did not pay the bills. For few moths they kept on calling me to pay the bills.
But now I am getting calls that they are suing me in the court, but I have not received anything official yet.
Should I be worried? more

When you have complained that the Board Band has not worked and, if the BSNL wants to take action against you, they should first give a bill or final notice and get prepared to reply them, which will help you in case of need. more
Of course, it is a matter to worry. However, relax Mr. Ankit Behel. There are remedies available. With all the documentary proof like Complaint no. date, source no. of complaint, person's name (who had attended to your compliant), initially write a brief letter addressed to the topmost head of the Service Provider. Please write the letter in BOLD letters with a large Font (to attract attention) send the same by speed post/Regd.AD. Follow up with the same after 7 days (to build a case) and in the absence of a satisfactory reply or result on your complaint, file your complaint with the Consumer Court for deficiency in service. No Bill No Payment - You can take cover under this order. more
Yes, I too would advise to give a written complaint to BSNL When lodging complaint with the Customer Care Centre you must have been provided with the complaint Nr. Do mention this number along with the date and time in your complaint - as many times of complaint. If you have to file a complaint with the District Forum, you must mention the as many complaint numbers which have not been attended to, yet you have been burdened with the payment of the bills for the unserviced period. In the case of telephone service providers like MTNL, BSNL, Airtel, Vodafone, Tatas, a very big problem in grievance redressal is that the Regulator, TRAI, does not attend to the individual's complaint. There is no other mechanism except for the consumer fora for very minor complaints and this situation is being exploited by these service providers - the irresponsible functionaries in the establishments. It is, therefore, suggested that all all consumers throughout the country should make a repetitive appeal to the government of India for establishing such a redressal agency that is heeded to by the service providers. Let the associations of telephone users spread across India come together for a draft appeal to be signed by the consumers and put it on Change.org. more
BSNL simply cannot go to the court as it is easy to prove that BB was never used as it never worked. However, usually there there is a departmental cell which receives written complaints. That usually works albeit slowly. you should still try to to lodge a written complaint giving details of customer care center call details or meet the designated supervisor / officer. usually job gets done but you have to go couple of times. more
Go to consumer court more
