Consumer Awareness: Declaration for Imported Items

The following are the compulsory declaration required on a packet which have been imported and available for sale:

a. Name and complete address of the Manufacturer, Packer and or importer of the packaged commodities.
b. Net contents in terms of weight, volume or number.
c. Date of manufacture packing import of the commodity month and year.
d. Maximum Retail Price inclusive of all taxes.
e. Generic name of the commodity.
f. Customer Care Number with name, address, Telephone No. of the person office which can be contacted in case of consumer complaints. g. Size, if applicable.

OBSERVE : Ravi Krishnamurthy Mal practices and stock hoarding in DMart Recently we did product check on retail chain consumer outlet D mart We randomly checked few products of which we found malpractice and cheat by DMart , we found MRP of gowardhan ghee 1 kg Rs 525 The outlet price Rs 460 , online d mart store Rs456 on tele call purchase Rs 425 We called D mart head quater the customer manager was arrogant we asked organisation same, manufacturwr same, tax same, all batches same why selling price varys for which she told to take action it is demand and supply greatee demand in one area we decrease our margin price less demand increase margin we have found hoarding of stock create demand all malpractices in D mart Please instant action Reproduced from same circle. more  
When there are thousands of substandard Products overcharged & sold every day, which is UNATTENDED since years, why this window dressing. A simple example of MILK wherein more than 50% brands are in above category, never been stopped since years. A good example to quote with. more
