Covaxin

Yesterday the FDA has denied emergency use approval for Covaxin and WHO has not approved so far and with FDAs rejection likely WHO wont approve for a while.

In these circumstances those who have taken 1 or 2 doses of covaxin and need to travel overseas - what are the options?

Can a 2 dosed covaxin person take Covishield two doses and travel. Parents need to go to USA and we are trying to find how. more

Covaxin is as effective as other vaccines ... And the rest is politics and money games that the West likes to play ... the WHO and FDA approval has to be negotiated by our government and scientists and manufacturers... which we hope they will achieve soon. However the nod from Lancet of UK was given to Covaxin long ago ... That is of great significance as it is supposed to be the most prestigious peer reviewed medical authority paper more
We are in a hurry to come to conclusions. Today FDA has not approved but that doesn't mean that it won't tomorrow. Same FDA suspended single shot of J&J and later on revoked its call. Secondly now international flights are not permitted to fly till July 15th. So let's wait & watch. more
Will a negative RTPCR report just before flying & home isolation for 14 days after entry into the foreign country not suffice? That used to be the accepted protocol earlier. more
Covaxin is very much effective and potential under Covid pandemic so far I am concern , Whether WHO or America is concerned they are more in business and politics less in welfare. We Indian must stand united with support of Covaxin with the proof which we have at present in million in India . more
While I agree with you (having taken covaxin vaccine myself) the point is that foreign countries do not accept vaccination by Covaxin and people so vaccinated will not be allowed to enter foreign countries. more
