See attached covid 19 treatment bill of 9 lakhs plus for 12 days of hospitalisation in a private hospital in palghar Maharashtra.

This is simply loot and government must interfere immediately and cap the cost to the minimum, so that none of the society is compelled to die without treatment. The enclosed bill is beyond reach of our more than 70% of people leaving them at the mercy of their fate. The bill clearly indicates that the expenses recorded under each head are highly inflated. more

The situation poses kind of a paradox. On one side, one wants governments to intervene to standardise charges levied by private hospitals. And, on the other, the governments themselves are leving 70 per cent higher cess on liquor. more

Government will not take any step in this regard. They want to restart economy. Hospitals will earn and add to GDP not the patient forced to pay out of savings. more
