At the break of Covid19 in 2020 March April, there were Valuable Scientific information from big Organisations Like WHO, ICMR, and many heads of Institutions that were involved in treating and Research. All of them and some specialists had categorically said that - People with certain conditions are more likely to get severely ill. Like Diabetes, Hypertension, Kidney, Liver, Lung Diseases, immune compromised state, Smoking currently or past. IN ADDITION OVERWEIGHT AND OBESITY ALSO. But the route is through Respiratory system. (Overweight (defined as a body mass index (BMI) ≥ 25 kg/m2 but < 30 kg/m2), obesity (BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2 but < 40 kg/m2), or severe obesity (BMI of ≥ 40 kg/m2), can make you more likely to get severely ill from COVID-19. The risk of severe COVID-19 illness increases sharply with elevated BMI.)That is when Most of us became conscious of BMI. BESIDES KEEPING AN EY ON BMI, IT IS NECESSARY TO FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES TO PREVENT OR AT LEAST REDUCE THE IMPACY. EASIEST IS GET FULLY VACCINATED. more
Dr. Neelam, thanks for clearing 2 doubts with that comment. One the mechanical effect of the undigested Food ;next the effects from the pathogens that agravate the condition. If a patient and a Treating Physician understands this, we can prevent many problems. I do remember this Circle was suggested by you during the nascent stage of the pandemic and we have been reping the benefits from this circle. more
It is a myth that drinking milk aggravates cough. Fatty foods/heavy foods..etc lead to distention of abdomen, putting pressure on the lungs, making breathing difficult. Some amount of mucous is present as a lubricant so that alveoli do not rub against each other. Some bacteria/viruses are present in the mouth & respiratory tract. These microorganisms get a chance to multiply if digestion is not good due to wrong kinds of solid foods. Milk is a Simple Protein which can be Digested Easily. Do Not Take Full Creme Milk if the personality is Not Athletic. Cow's milk is better than branded milks for small kids/senior citizens. more
Great. Right from the days of Lord Krishna we are taking milk, butter, ghee, buttermilk and other products. Baby food manufacturers!!!! Beware, your end is near. The children who are going to be born should not drink mother's milk. (after all that is also MILK?) more
You are on the right track. In fact the cough produced by consuming dairy products is the super food for viruses from animals because dairy is also from animals. I had become vegan in 1995 and after that I have never had any virus attack. We get a few viruses when we interact with some infected person or in direct contact with animals but if these viruses find cough in our throat then they grow into millions during incubation period and are able to attack us. Therefore if we stop taking dairy products we can become virus proof. more
