CT scan a NO for mild cases says AIIMS Director

So AIIMS director saying Mild COVID infection patients don’t need CT scans. Say One CT is equal to 400 chest x-rays. In a younger age group, risk of cancer increases in later life.

Can any of the experts validate this?

On the other hand many are getting CT done because RT PCR is failing to give right results with current strains. more

Folks, it appears that we all including the medics are looking like blind men for a black cat in a dark room without lights...... Yes, we all are groping in the dark. Even the vaccine variants are being probed on people as test cases and they are learning from that. So, for the welfare of posterity, let us not hesitate to sacrifice us as "scapegoats". History is witness: many people gave up their lives for getting India the independence from foreign occupation..........be they Moghuls or be they the Brittens. Let's fight Covid in a similar fashion...... more
Those doctors who are recommending the scan, knowing the history of the patient and after doing a couple of rounds of blood tests, are they recommending the scan for fun? more
Despite this many hospitals continue to do the CT scan. more
Where is the scope to doubt the AIIMS Director comment. About RT P c r test last evening there was a programme on TV where it was very well explained why RTPCR results could be confusing. more
