Dearth of good Rs. 10 notes

Rs. 10 and Rs. 20 notes are needed for payments for Public transport (buses, trains at counters, autos...), street vendors for small payments, religious places to name a few. While some have digital payment options, most do not have. And some demand only cash even though they have digital option.
However, there banks do not seem to have good/new Rs. 10 and Rs. 20 notes. We have tried in 3 or 4 banks in Bangalore where we or one of our known persons has an account, but we have not been able to get the notes. The banks only offer soiled used notes which definitely the vendors will not take from us. Whether they are hiding the new notes for their High profile customers is not known.
RBI needs to step in here and ensure that banks give new notes to customers. In turn, banks need to give back the old soiled notes to RBI in exchange for new notes. more

Coins are difficult to carry in Purse. more
I think bank do not refuse to give 10 / 20 rs coil. why not use them. the advantages will be > 10 rs not paper saved. > life of note is very less > life of coin is as good as life of a person > cost of note printing is high resulting revenue loos to us only more
Most of the Rs10 notes are torn. Is it admissible to paste sticker on them and reuse?. Many merchants do not accept the notes done this way. Why not RBI send clear instruction to people making them aware of these important things. RBI does send some information through SMS to people, sometimes repetitive. Some things like accepting Rs10 coins (many do not accept), stickering torn portions can be informed to people. Also small small currency notes must be loaded in ATMs and can be made as an option. People also must use the facility judiciously. more
So true. It becomes difficult at times to get lower denomination notes. Sometimes, it feels as if govt. purposely does this so that the people engage in digital transaction. But this is not solution always. Not everything should be monitored. more
Nowadays, this is quite visible that No government (Central or state) are having concerns for common people. Not only small denomination notes,100 rupee notes are also not available in ATMs.Even many trains(Mail/express) time to time are being cancelled in the name of maintenance,we are booking the tickets 4 months before and plan according to that, then suddenly before 1 week of departure of train we come to know that train is cancelled,it is really disgusting. There are so many concerns that is being neglected by governments including road repairing in state level. It appears that common people has lost its power in government making,so they are being neglected or financial health of governments are so poor that they are diverting the funds to develop airports,Highways but not town or city roads. more
