DTH services

I have been using Airtel DTH services when government asked to swtich to digital cable servces around 1.5 yrs back. (I was initially using our local cable operator set top box, once I realised the local cable operator set top box will not function in another locality if you shift your house, I switched to airtel)

My experience with airtel
a. They attract us by giving good channel package for a reasonable monthly subscription
b. After few months they keep hiking the subscription fees by showing clauses in the agreement and saying operational cost has been increasing.
c. This hike frequency is every three-four months, I dont understand how operational cost increases every three months!!!
d. We can cancel their services but the set top box that we pay Rs2000/- odd becomes obsolete. This is the trick that these companies use .
e. I request the consumer affairs dept. to look into these and make sure that the set top box is compatible with all service providers. (Just like we use SIM card, the mobile can accept any service provider)
f. Else this loot of consumers will continue and when I check with my friends this is same with other service providers too more

I have the same terrible experiences with Videocon D2H service provider. Their charges are going top of the roof. I think we all should jointly fight with the situation. we all should make a NGO to fight against all those nonsenses. more  
what about TATA SKY ? Even this also very worst service For the last two months I am facing the problem of set top box not catching signal and paying extra rs170/-(installer field visit) in addition to monthly subscription of rs190/-.I dont know howlong this continues.I am residing in gated community and separate antenna is not allowed more
