Eating artificially ripened fruits is harmful

Artificially ripening banana has become a regular norm. I buy this fruit every day despite seeing the deteriorating quality of this fruit in recent times. The fruits don't cost less but lack the original taste. They easily break and the skin melts in one day if kept overnight.

Isn't it necessary to create awareness about this dirty business which is rampant in city like Mumbai where I live?

Who is responsible for checking and stopping this dirty business?

What should a common man like me do to stop this blatant malpractice which is slowly poisoning people in my city.

Dear Mr. Bhattacharya, It is a fact. What a common man can do to eradicate this adulteration. FDI is the body which is the nodal agency to be intimated with video with all details and in case they are soft enough to take up your case, there could some thing happen. But all the same, it is very difficult to tackle this menace . Take any fruits, it is adulterated, Poor and common man has to live with it. more  
I do agree with Mr.Dipak Bhattacharya on adulteration. Here the question is aboutthe degradation of human values. We have, over a period of time, started to value money than the human life itself. Regarding the question of artificially ripening fruits, it is dangerous and creates health hazards. But the business community is interested in making money in regulated supply of commodity. The price of fruits are maintained at a higher level as the fruits ripe according to the demands only. This is happenings even in small cities of India. We should boycott such markets and fruits. Why dont we utilize the electronic communication among small groups and associations of the locality so that such commodities are not entertained by the customers. We are spending a lot of time for unnencessary and unwanted messages and videos. Let us come together and find our own way to improve our quality of life more
