Enforce UBER Ban

Despite the ban, UBER is still operating shamelessly in Delhi. Why are Indian authorities not taking them to task. If another rape happens in UBER cab wjo will be accountable UBER or Govt of India/respective state. more

Please read my above comments replacing 'KUBER' with 'UBER' which was an typographic error. Thanks. more
At a time when our government's efforts are to make a 'better India', provide better and cheaper services to its citizens, bring all round improvements in the country's performance, to make it clean & hygienic, corruption free India, to have a better health service system, a far better Indian rail and to make turn around in every walk of life of an Indian, will it be fair to ban an entire company to function because of a misdeed of one of its employees. Why not the citizens of Delhi itself boycott KUBER? It may be because they are getting better, comfortable and cheaper services from them. Delhi was never safe even when KUBER was not in the picture nor it is now and who can say about future ! Hence, if Delhites are happy with KUBER and they have not yet lost their trust on the company fully, let them enjoy. more
Mr Putty Malhotra has hit the nail on the head...Knee jerk reactions to un-verified NEWS, just to be part of the mob... Is what some people like - as they don't have an opinion of their own nor the inclination to analyse a situation. more
Are we idiots?? So we have a public transport service that sucks, badly maintained cars, uncouth rude drivers, cheating is rampant - whether with tampered meters or taking longer routes...... and along comes a service with well maintained cars, polite drivers, helpful , hooked up to a GPS to ensure travel by shortest route, efficient tracking system, ability to allow a friend or family member to track your journey..etc.. ....& we want to ban it!!?? We must be nuts!.... or must love being punished ...and paying to be punished. Rapes happen. They should not. They have happened in public transport, in blacknyellow taxis, in the taxis with A/V & tinted glasses, in buses, in trains...... maybe we should ban these also! Please stop with this stupid knee-jerk reaction! When we come across a service that is better that what is currently on offer - we should look at ways to regularise it, to look a increasing the number of companies offering similar services.... ....& if that means that the previous bad service ends .... so be it! The public deserves better. Levy a 1 Cr security deposit per app per city.... & use it to improve mass transit services... these apps have made travel a joy.... providing profitable employment to thousands.... Maybe the public transport services can learn a lesson, adopt best practices....& then complain about competition!!! more
I agree with William, Anantharaman and Aushutosh Goyal. In Hyderabad Telangana Govt has started she Buses for employees of software companies by providing full security methods to women employees. All ready SHE teams(police) are working in Hyderabad and taking serious action/punishments to the culprits. In Delhi also similar things can be adopted G.K.Naidu, Hyderabad more
