I have De. Aquvaguard from eurekaforbes. I am having an AMC. They give appointment to come for general service and then don’t show up at all. When I call their customer care unit they want me to call their service center which is chargeable. Why customer who already have paid for AMC, their people don’t show up on time have to call on Chargebale number of their service center? I see that most of companies keep their service call number chargeble. Why are they allowed to do this? If they can keep their sales unit number for free why service center number is chargeable? more

It is better to file a complaint with consumer grievance cell or consumer court, then only these scoundrels will listen to helpless consumers. Nearly all big manufacturers of consumer goods play this trick to squeeze money out of their loyal customers. It is not limited to Acquaguard only, manufacturers of washing machines, refrigerators and other high cost consumer item play the same trick. I also had bad experience with Videocon washing machine. I needed to replace one broken part myself and made inquiry with their service center in Thane, instead of giving me a clear reply of yes or no, they sent me an email asking my name, address and phone number. Simply they wanted to charge more than a thousand rupees instead of giving me my required part which might have cost just around two hundred rupees. more
I also have an Aquaguard RO system installed at my house many years back. I entered into an AMC after the expiry of warranty. Then I started receiving phone calls from the so called Aqua service centers and entered into AMC for 2500/- . They did not stick to the schedule. Later on I came to know that my particulars had been taken from Aquaguard and I was tricked into entering an AMC with them. This is a very common trick. Please get the AMC with Aquaguard or the supplier of the product and none other. They should respond in a responsible manner more
