Fake agencies looting money from job aspirers

Recently I have come across few agencies who takes money from the job seekers under the pretension of assuring them job offers in India and abroad. Just last week my wife, who is a nurse, got two offers from two different agencies. One in Delhi offered her a confirmed job in one of the hospitals in Austria and asked to pay Rs.20000/- as a registration fee. Another one offered her a job in Apollo Hospital in Abudhabi and demanded Rs.2500/- for registration. Mostly nurses are being cheated this way. This morning I got a letter, basically an interview call, supposedly from HCL Technologies asking me to come for an interview in UP. And ironically I am required to pay an amount of Rs.24800/- as an Interview Security Deposit. What a joke! I am sure many people especially nurses are being cheated across India by these fake agencies. Can't we do something about this? Shouldn't we be doing something? more

Government's vigilance department has no clue or control over newspaper advertisements. more
not only nurse, there are so many job offering companies are doing like that, there should be some board which should monitor this and give publicity more
THESE ARE ALL USING THE WEAKNESS OF THE PEOPLE. IT IS NOT NEW. NOT BECAUSE OF TELECOM COMPANIES GIVING NUMBER AND ALL. PREVIOUSLY IT USE TO REACH OUR HOME BY POST. AWARENESS OF THE PEOPLE AND NEED OF THE PEOPLE MAKE ALL THESE NONSENSE. I ALSO RECEIVED A CALL AS IF FROM RAJASTHAN AND GETTING CHEAPER GOLD COINS OF OLDEN DAYS. JUST IGNORED. HE CALLED FOR 5 DAYS CONTINUOUSLY AND THEN STOPPED. more
You are right. This is mainly because telecom companies are providing such 'placement agencies' and other call centres access to our numbers. We too receive calls and smses promising jobs -- even govt jobs-- on the payment of some registration fee etc. For those who are really desperate to get jobs, it would be so simple to fall in their trap. This is highly unethical and the telecom companies should be asked to ban/block all such call centres more
so many consultancies doing tht type of fraud in every field, they ask for initial charge and says that it will be refund in your first salary and they says this is your appointment letter u can join after one week and after some day they are gone. more
