Fakes being Sold

I saw the advertisement from skechers today as to how fakes are being sold on flipkart. Snapdeal is known for selling fakes. Localcircles should do a poll to find out the magnitude of the problem including which category. And then govt should take strict action against ecommerce sites. more

Shop Clues is worse than Snap Deal as far as poor quality/ fake goods are concerned. more
India is the fifth biggest exporter of fake goods globally, while China is on the top with a huge 63 per cent share in the estimated HALF-A-TRILLION DOLLAR WORLDWIDE IMPORTS - of counterfeit and pirated goods. China is followed by Turkey, Singapore, Thailand and India among the top-five countries from where most fake goods originate, as per a new study by the OECD (Organisation Economic Cooperation and Development) and the European Union’s Intellectual Property Office. This NEWS is as per "Indian Express" under the "Best of 2017" news. In respect of "Fake" goods and services, the list of items and services covered are many many more. We have documentations on these matters, however on the side of execution and implementing the actions to protect a customer is an herculean task. There is a vested interest to make more money and more money cheating the end users. A country like "Singapore"where the corruption is much lower than India,it gets more fake items, and,it is in the third place.India is in fifth place. The point I am drawing at -it is not easy to address this subject on war footing, what we need is more Educated Society, who can understand, what they need and how they need. Once customer supports dwindle, automatically, duplicate and fake goods existence will get reduced. more
The moment the seller advertises reduction or discount sale we can infer the product may not be good as original. They may say seconds rejected by company quality but is good otherwise as the branded one. However we encounter fake manufacturers as instead of "Made in U.S.A." it will say Made as U.S.A." We only get deceived and by the time we realise it is too late. Once bitten twice shy. Hence please avoid buying anything on discount or on SALE. They may not serve you well as the original. Prevention is better than cure. more
